What is Compassionate Inquiry Coaching?
Are you confronted by difficult habitual patterns or trauma? Do you feel stuck and unable to break through blocks in your personal or professional relationships? Would you like to move forward, feeling more fulfilled in your personal life and professional work? Compassionate Inquiry Coaching will assist you on your journey of self-discovery, through sessions that will help bring new awareness, understanding and healing. With greater clarity and insights, our work together will support you through significant change to realize the life you were meant to live!
Compassionate Inquiry Coaching is modeled, in part, after the work of renowned therapist and author Dr. Gabor Maté, who co-developed Compassionate Inquiry with Sat Dharam Kaur, ND. My specialty is working with clients who are challenged with addictive patterns and trauma.
What Is Compassionate Inquiry?
Compassionate Inquiry is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that sheds light on what we have unconsciously kept concealed deep within ourselves. The renowned A.H. Almaas says, “only when compassion is present, will people allow themselves to see the truth.”
Using Compassionate Inquiry, both the client and therapist embark on a journey to reveal the truth that is often hidden beneath false beliefs, difficult memories and physical states that are expressed in various forms of dis-ease. Through this work, clients can connect to the truth within themselves, in the present moment, become free from self-generated suffering, and gain insight, clarity and choice in their behaviour. “Nirmal helped me gain strength to overcome some situations that I couldn’t control. Working with Nirmal gave me a safe place to process unresolved trauma that I needed to face, and change my thoughts about, from childhood. It changed my perspective and I can move on to remember the child within me that’s no longer carrying that trauma.” Robin F.
“Dear Nirmal, I am writing to express gratitude for the very insightful and comforting sessions we have shared. Your non-judgemental manner makes it easy to express whatever arises. You have helped me blend physical methods of being present in the moment with an awareness of when that is most helpful. Again, Thank You Nirmal” Geoff H.
